Hey everyone, I'm back with a part two! In this post we will be covering Opalite. My biggest issue with Opalite is when sellers try to pass it off as Opal or Moonstone. It is important to be able to tell the difference because Opal and Moonstone (or items marketed as such) are usually a much higher price.
What is Opalite? Opalite is a man made glass material. It used to be mostly just in jewelry, but I've recently noticed that they are becoming very popular as tumbled stones! Now don't get me wrong, they are beautiful and have a unique, luminous glow.
Once you know what it looks like, its much easier to tell the difference.
