In the Studio: 10K in 41 Days

With a cup of coffee in hand and the pitter patter of rain and low rumbles of thunder in the background, I’m ready to tell you all about what is going on here at Autumn Jade Studio lately.

For once, I’m at a loss on where to start. 2024 has been a lot; transitions, change, loss. I haven’t been able to be in my studio as often as I would’ve liked, and want to. Although more often than not it is a cluttered, little room, it’s my safe space, my haven.

Transitioning back into Autumn Jade Studio full time has been stressful, but a dream as you could imagine. The world is quite different than the last time I was able to work in the studio full time. From social media to the economy, it’s required many business pivots.

To break myself out of my own personal lull, full of heavy energy, worry ad stagnancy, I’ve decided to do another goal challenge… This one needed to be big so that it would give me no option but to work, and work hard! I’m a couple days late on posting it here on the blog, but the goal is to sell 10K in 41 Days.

This might seem like a small goal to some, but I’m setting this goal in my slowest time of year - Summer. Full transparency - I’ve had months that are close to hitting the 10K mark, but they have been closer to Christmas, and I’ve never actually hit the mark, or came as close as I’d have liked to.

Posting this goal gave me butterflies, and not the good kind! I was nauseous I was so nervous about what people might think. Was I setting the bar too high? Where people judging me? Did they think I was trying to pressure them into spending? It’s a hard line of thought to get out of your head with a public financial goal.

As you know, I LOVE my customers. I LOVE anyone following and invested in my journey, even if they haven’t bought. I love getting the chance to connect with you and I would hate if you felt pressured, because that’s a gross feeling. I really want to highlight that this is a fun goal that is meant to provide myself some much needed motivation.

Plus if we hit this goal, yes we - you and I are in this together! - it will provide some much needed funds to expand my range of product for both my jewelry and my candle line. If we don’t hit it, I conquered my fear of posting a financial goal publicly, and hopefully inspired one or two people to go after a scary goal.

Today is DAY 3 of my challenge, it’s 7am as I type this so hopefully our totals have changed by the time you read this, but here is where we are sitting!
